Fashion and Safety..um, Collide?

For those of you who don't recognize him, the man in this picture is Karl Lagerfeld, the current designer for Chanel. He appears in this ad published by the French Sécurité Routière (Road Security) urging drivers to keep the yellow vest ("It's yellow, it's ugly, it doesn't go with anything, but it could save your life") and the triangle in their car at all times, as they are becoming mandatory in France.
